Filter candles from BOHNCKE: Clear processes, safe results
If processes are to run without disturbances, filtration must be correct. BOHNCKE filter candles offer exactly that: reliable retention of the finest particles, chemical resistance even with aggressive media, and a lifespan you can rely on. Anyone who wants stable results relies on technology that works precisely layer by layer, cycle by cycle.
Filter candles when nothing should get through
Filter candles play a central role in liquid filtration. They consist of finely tuned materials in cylindrical form, ensuring controlled flow through the filter medium. Depending on their construction, they either filter on the surface or in depth, reliably retaining contaminants and allowing for consistently clean process management. They are indispensable particularly in electroplating, chemical treatments, or the fine cleaning of technical media. Their high retention performance, compact design, and resistance to aggressive liquids make them the preferred solution when every detail counts.
BOHNCKE filter candles at a glance
Our filter candles cover a wide range of applications, from robust pre-filtration to fine final cleaning. Depending on the medium, temperature range, and purity requirement, we offer various technologies and versions. Compatible with BOHNCKE filter devices and all standard housings.
Fabric candles
Multilayer fabric candles made from PP or PE are used wherever coarse to medium particles need to be removed. Due to their solid structure and high flow rate, they are ideal for classic pre-filter processes. Depending on the version, they are washable and reusable.
Activated carbon candles
QUALICARB C and DUO provide reliable adsorption of chlorine, odor substances, and organic residues. The DUO variant combines pre-filtration and adsorption in one cartridge. Ideal for applications with rinse water, surface contact, or post-treatment of chemical processes.
Melt-blown candles
QUALITHERM N is the classic depth filter candle for industrial processes. Thermally welded polypropylene fibers with decreasing pore size ensure high dirt absorption, stable flow rates, and low pressure losses – ideal for electroplating and fine filtration.
Stainless steel mesh candles
When high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, or special cleaning requirements are involved, stainless steel mesh candles are used. They are mechanically stable, can be cleaned and reused, and offer long-term operational safety with special media.
Pleated depth filter candles
The LTECH filter candles set standards in terms of lifespan and efficiency. 5 m² filter area per cartridge enables extremely high retention rates with simultaneously low pressure loss. The cartridges are washable and can be reused up to ten times – perfect for applications with high dirt input.
Wound candles
QUALIBOB filter candles are made from wound spun fleece, optionally from PP, PES, or cotton. They are universally applicable, economically attractive, and, with a stainless steel core, also suitable for demanding temperature ranges. Ideal for pre-filtration, solvents, oils, and classical applications with low to medium load.
