What is a candle filter?

Candle filters are modular filtration systems for separating solids and liquids. They consist of a pressure-resistant housing in which several filter candles are installed. The liquid to be filtered flows through these candles, reliably retaining impurities.

BOHNCKE candle filters offer the same robust quality and flexibility as our plate filters – combined with the advantages of interchangeable filter inserts (e.g., depth filters, pleated cartridges or activated carbon filters).

575 Series

The powerful 575 series was developed for the highest demands and is suitable for large plants with up to 60,000 l/h. Up to 37 candles with double O-ring system ensure maximum filter surface and service life. Thanks to optimized hydraulics and massive construction, it is the solution for critical processes in electroplating and surface technology

Features: Ideal for applications with high volume flows, equipped with durable materials and efficient filtration technology.

355 Series

With a flow capacity of up to 20,000 l/h, the 355 series is perfect for medium to larger processes. High-quality materials, a foldable lid, and a thoughtful design allow comfortable handling and maintenance. Here too, filter candles, activated carbon, or cloth filter inserts can be used flexibly

Features: Versatile, compact, and powerful. The 355 Series is ideal for medium requirements.
Application areas: Suitable for applications such as chemical processes, food production, and water treatment.

250 Series

The 250 series offers a balanced ratio of performance, flexibility, and price. Up to seven filter candles can be inserted without tools and quickly changed if necessary. The modular system allows switching between different filter types – without any conversion

Features: Compact design and high efficiency with lower volume requirements.
Application areas: Optimal for small to medium-sized plants and processes, where space and efficiency are crucial.

180 Series

The filter devices of the 180 series are ideal for smaller applications and space-saving installations. Despite the compact design, they enable precise filtration of galvanic baths, rinse water or wash water. The devices are equipped with a robust chassis, splash-proof lid, and maintenance-friendly construction
