Wet-mounted pumps: When standard is not enough

Companies in the chemical industry and electroplating often face challenges since standard pumps do not meet specific requirements. These pumps are often not robust enough to withstand aggressive media, do not provide the required performance, or have incorrect dimensions. This leads to increased maintenance effort, failures, and production interruptions. Therefore, companies in such cases need special wet-mounted pumps to ensure efficient operation without unnecessary interruptions. Our wet-mounted pumps offer the ideal solution for such demanding industrial applications.

Our wet-mounted pumps

Wet-mounted pumps are special pumps that immerse directly in liquids to convey them. They operate in the medium to transport liquids reliably and efficiently. Unlike surface pumps, which are installed outside the conveying medium, wet-mounted pumps are designed for operation underwater.

How wet-mounted pumps work

Wet-mounted pumps are specifically designed for pumping liquids from deep or hard-to-reach areas. They consist of a motor mounted outside the liquid and a vertical shaft that drives the impeller in the medium. This construction enables reliable pumping even at high delivery heights and under difficult conditions.

The medium is sucked in by the impeller and transported upward along the vertical axis. Thanks to the positioning of the motor, it remains dry and protected from contact with aggressive or corrosive liquids, which increases the pump’s lifespan and ease of maintenance. Vertical pumps are therefore particularly suitable for applications with high demands on reliability and performance, such as in sewage treatment plants, the chemical industry, and mining.

Areas of application of our wet-mounted pumps for industry

Pumping chemicals and aggressive media

Our wet-mounted pumps are made of chemically resistant materials such as PP, PVDF, or stainless steel and safely and efficiently pump aggressive chemicals.

Cooling water disposal in industrial processes

Wet-mounted pumps continuously dispose of cooling water, ensuring stable process cooling in industry. This maintains the efficiency of your production facilities.

Wastewater and sludge water disposal

Wet-mounted pumps transport wastewater and sludge water in sewage treatment plants and industrial wastewater systems. They ensure reliable disposal, even with high solid content.

Water disposal / treatment

Wet-mounted pumps handle water disposal and treatment within the scope of sewage technology. They comply with strict environmental regulations and ensure that polluted water is cleaned and properly disposed of.

Frequently asked questions about our product

Submersible pumps are special pumps that are directly immersed in liquids to pump them. They operate in the medium to transport liquids reliably and efficiently. Unlike surface pumps, which are installed outside the conveying medium, submersible pumps are designed for underwater operation.

The selection of the right pump depends on several factors that must be tailored to the specific requirements of your application:

  • Flow rate and delivery head: Determine how much liquid should be pumped per hour and what delivery head is required. These factors directly affect the performance of the pump.
  • Type of medium to be pumped: Check the properties of the medium to be pumped, such as viscosity, temperature, and chemical composition. Pay attention to the chemical resistance of the pump, especially if aggressive media are involved.
  • Material resistance: Pay attention to the correct material. Our submersible pumps are made of chemically resistant materials such as PP, PVDF, or stainless steel, making them ideal for aggressive media.
